Benedictine College, located in Atchison, Kansas, has unveiled plans to open a Catholic medical school in partnership with Catholic Healthcare International. While Future Medical Professionals for Life does not take a stance on religious affiliation, we are excited to see the school plans to adhere to values that respect life and know schools such as this will be essential to reinstating a culture of Hippocratic Medicine.
This project is expected to cost around $120 Million and is proposed to be called the St. Padre Pio Institute for the Relief of Suffering, School of Osteopathic Medicine at Benedictine College. The institution will be independently financed and governed apart from Benedictine. Plans currently are to open its doors and enroll its first class of around 180 medical students beginning in the fall of 2026. In addition to the degree of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) there are plans to offer a Master in Catholic Bioethics.

Dr. George Mychaskiw, a board-certified pediatric cardiac anesthesiologist who is working on the project, stated in a press release, “The genocide of 65 million children could not have been accomplished without the ready, willing and able cooperation of physicians. This medical school will stand for the life and dignity of every human being, regardless of age or disability, and will train generations of physicians who will take back the culture of death…” FMPFL believes these schools necessary to revolutionize the medical field and overtake the abortion industry with true and compassionate medicine.
Future Medical Professionals for Life hopes to partner with medical schools like this to further propagate a respect for life and restore the Hippocratic Oath. If you are a student interested in entering the medical field, do not feel intimidated by the pressure the abortion industry places on you to comply with their unethical demand; there is an entire movement of pro-life healthcare professionals ready to help you pursue your goals and change medicine for the better.
